Organic Food Industry Facts

Organic packaged food sales primarily consist of organic rice, which contributes virtually 100.0% of sales and records a current value growth of 3.0% in 2019. Organic coffee is currently the only major beverage category present in Indonesia, which registered a value growth of 9.0% in 2019.

With a growing number of consumers interested in organic products and an emerging economy in Indonesia, the potential for organic products seems positive in the long term, leading to a forecast value CAGR of 3.5% for the period 2019-2024

The Indonesian Ministry of Trade synergies with the Indonesian Organic Alliance (AOI) and PT Trubus Swadaya to increase and boost Indonesian Organic SME Products. Through the program, SMEs can receive training, promotion and publication, product development, etc.
