Jakarta, Indonesia – Food + Beverage Indonesia Exhibition, the trending exhibition dedicated to providing end-to-end solutions to the food and beverage industry, organized by PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), will now take place on May 18 – 21, 2022. Previously planned for 23 - 26 March 2022, the exhibition will continue to drive Indonesia's food industry growth at a more conducive time for businesses at the new later date.
WAKENI’s priority considerations are the safety and wellbeing of all exhibitors, visitors, partners, and other parties involved. In addition, the decision to stage the exhibition later is necessary due to the increased Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement (PPKM) level after a spike in the covid-19 Omicron variant infections.
Food + Beverage Indonesia will be staged on the same fairground – Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia. The exhibition will also feature IISM and Indonesia Cold Chain Expo as sub-events. IISM, as the country’s longest-running exhibition in the cold chain industry, will continue to boost Indonesia's strength in food processing and food cold chain industry. Additionally, Coffee and Tea Expo, Organic Food Expo, Sweets & Snacks Expo, and Wine, Spirit, & Gourmet Festival will also augment Food + Beverage Indonesia 2022 to complete the food industry offerings under one roof.
Plans to stage Food + Beverage Indonesia alongside IISM and Indonesia Cold Chain Expo at a later date also considered the hope for international travel borders and restrictions to be eased, resulting in a more dynamic and confident food and beverage business industry. Mrs Rini Sumardi, Director of PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), stated, "The decision to stage Food + Beverage Indonesia in May 2022 was thought-through earnestly as we had received tremendous support and are grateful for the industry’s enthusiasm to see the exhibitions happening. Food exhibitions uniquely offer sensory experiences that can only be achieved through in-person engagements. From live machine demonstrations, food tastings, live cooking demonstrations to the excitement of cooking competitions, we look forward to 18 – 21 May 2022, where we can meet each other face-to- face at the fairground." “We also greatly appreciate the support and understanding of all our exhibitors, association partners, media partners, and other parties,†she added.
The exhibition will also be concurrently held with Indonesia Chef Association’s Chef Expo, a 4-day culinary celebration showcasing the talents of Indonesian Chefs. Mr Slamet Jarwanto, Vice President of Events and Marketing of the Indonesian Chef Association, noted that “the support and participation of key players in Food + Beverage Indonesia 2022 will play a huge role in Indonesia’s culinary roadmap. The Indonesian Chef Association supports the decision to stage Food + Beverage Indonesia 2022 at a new and better date, and Chef Expo will come back with a stronger culinary celebration at the upcoming edition.â€
